Palazzo Sipari is a historic house built in 1858 by the noble Sipari family, who still lives here. It's located on the main street of Alvito (Corso Gallio), near the main church (San Simeone) and a few steps from the town hall (Ducal Palace). 

Very important people, such as the philosopher Benedetto Croce and, before the election, Pope Paolo VI, were guests in this aristocratic house. In 1879 Erminio Sipari, the founder and first president of the Abruzzo National Park, was born here.

Bed and breakfast, which takes its name from the palace,  is located on the first floor, with views of both the valley and the historic center.

“Palazzo Sipari” is a b&b with an antique flavor, but with every comfort, both for tourists and business men. Each room is furnished with Italian antique furniture and has decorated ceilings.

The suite consists of two rooms (double room with bathroom, anteroom or living room with a sofa bed).

Alvito is located at the foot of the Abruzzo National Park mountains, on a hill overlooking the green countryside of the Valle di Comino.

Alvito is halfway between Rome and Naples (90 minutes by car). It's 30 minutes from the abbeys of Montecassino and Casamari and 10 minutes from the natural reserve Lago di Posta Fibreno. In half an hour by car, you reach the heart of the Abruzzo National Park, to visit Pescasseroli, Opi, Civitella Alfedena, Villetta Barrea and other destinations of the protected area.
In the center of Alvito you can visit the ducal palace, the church of San Simeone and the characteristic paths between the medieval walls that climb the hill towards the castle. Near the b&b there are restaurants, pizzeria, bars, pastry shops and the main shops in Alvito. If you want to discover your family origins, the names of your ancestors, where they lived and what they did between the 17th and 19th centuries, we will help you.

The Valle di Comino is not only artistic and landscape beauties, but also culinary art with its food and wine routes linked to the territory (Fagioli cannellini, cabernet and Semillon of Atina, truffles of Campoli Appennino, pecorino of Picinisco, nougats of Alvito).
Festivals and fairs are held throughout the summer in the villages of the Valle di Comino.
